Following the recent parish consultation (known as Regulation 14), the neighbourhood plan was revised in the light of the extensive feedback that was received. At its Meeting on July 17th 2024, Semington Parish Council approved the submission of the neighbourhood plan to Wiltshire Council under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, and the Plan was submitted to Wiltshire Council on July 22nd. Wiltshire Council consulted (Regulation 16) on the draft plan between August 7th. and September 24th. The Council then asked John Slater Planning Ltd to carry out an independent examination of the draft plan. This began on September 30th and a report was received on November 21st. Wiltshire Council subsequently issued Semington Parish Council with guidance on necessary changes to be made with a deadline of January 8th for submission. This – the Referendum Version of the Plan – is now complete and can be found on this page. The parish referendum will take place on February 27th. As usual, the village hall will be the polling station.
