Book Club

Semington Bookclub is a mixed group of villagers who meet in the village hall every four or five weeks to discuss a book which everyone has read.

Members take it in turns to nominate two books and the group then votes on which one it wishes to read and discuss. (Some people read both). We try to read a variety of book types and we do not pick recently released books as they are too expensive to obtain. It is not a dreadfully serious meeting as they are only our opinions – and we rarely have a book that everyone likes – but rather it is a pleasant social evening with a purpose. I am the coordinator for the group and I publish a report of each meeting in the Parish Magazine and give the date of the following meeting.
