At its Meeting on July 17th, the Parish Council approved the submission of the neighbourhood plan to Wiltshire Council under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations. Following the recent parish consultation (known as Regulation 14), the plan has been revised based on the extensive feedback that was received. You can see the plan and all the supporting evidence here.
There are three more steps in the process of confirming the plan:
[1] when Wiltshire Council confirms that the plan is in good order, it will set up a 6-week consultation with statutory consults and parishioners.
[2] following this, the plan will be submitted to a planning inspector for their scrutiny and comment.
[3] finally, there will be a referendum inviting everyone on the electoral roll in the parish to approve (or not) the plan. In this a simple majority of votes is all that is needed. After this, if approved, the plan is said to be “made” and can be implemented.
Once made, the plan carries legal force and is part of Wiltshire’s local plan. With a fair wind, this time next year we shall have a made plan.
