The Parish Council’s Clerk, Roger Coleman, is retiring in the Autumn after 22 years service and we are looking for a replacement. Click here to find details of the Clerk Job Vacancy.
This is a permanent position, 7 hours per week working from home, which can be worked flexibly. The council usually meets on the second or third Wednesday evening (1930 to 2130) of the month, though attendance at additional meetings may be required. Duties will include:
- Administering all parish council meetings, including producing agendas, minutes and relevant papers;
- recording and managing all income and expenditure and bank account monitoring;
- managing emails and parish council correspondence;
- completing the annual Internal and External audits and VAT claims;
- providing HMRC PAYE returns (if necessary);
- providing advice and guidance to councillors on statutory, legal and other matters;
- liaising with the Chair / Vice-Chair on Parish Council business.
